Wit’s End Scotchy, Scotch, Scotch Ale

“If it’s not Scottish, it’s crap!”, at least that’s what we were thinking when coming up with the recipe. Scotchy, Scotch, Scotch Ale is loosely based on the style of a “Strong Scotch ale”. As usual, we wanted to do something different, so although very malty, there is a pronounced peaty aroma and flavor. We like to think of this beer as paying homage to its higher alcohol big brother served on the rocks. We’re certain you’ll love Scotchy, Scotch, Scotch Ale when it goes down into your belly.

The pronounced “scotch” flavor is derived from a healthy dose of peated malt, which is barley smoked over burning peat—this is the key factor that makes our beer so unique. The initial taste hits you with smoky peat flavors, followed by a rich malty and chocolaty sweetness.
