Unlike IPA’s which undergo a vigorous, short, warm fermentation period, IPL’s enjoy dual citizenship as they’re fermented like a lager, then hopped with pungent IPA style Pacific Northwest Hallertau hops well past the point of a traditional lager. However it’s the brews generous malt bill which highlights its noble aroma of honeydew melon and provides a crisp clean finish. An excellent seasonal session beer that still has enough going on in the glass for contemplative sipping if the yuletide mood should strike you.
