Pours a clear copper with a foamy off-white head. Lots of dark fruits in the nose. Malty backbone with notes of caramel. In the taste I'm getting some raisins, spicy hops, a touch of alcohol, but no sign of dates. This is a strange brew. Still, it's fairly smooth and very drinkable.
