Beer Description
Departed Soles Brewing Co. phoned some friends, and Matty and Jim from Two Ton Brewing answered the call. Collectively we decided to take a break from the hops, and go big or go home with an Imperial Porter.
With the help of our neighbors at Bucket & Bay Craft Gelato Co, we sourced some Gingerbread Maple (syrup) from Bushwick Kitchen.
Their lovely creation (we recommend it on French Toast.. er, Freedom Toast) lends a sweet balance to the roasty malt bill of the beer, which is accentuated with the usage of an English Ale Yeast.
After fermentation was complete, we aged this beer on some fresh Madagascar Vanilla Beans because, well, you’re not the boss of us and we do what we want.
