Green Flash + Cigar City Candela Rye

Candela (Rye Barleywine): Collaboration: The collaborative efforts between Cigar City Brewing and Green Flash Brewing eventually went down a path with the idea that the resulting brew should not only be a very special brew but also one that will go nicely with a great American cigar…a green wrapper Candela. Technical Description: So massive is this Rye Barleywine after a long and intensive boil that it envelops the 75 IBU of hops given it. The super rich qualities of this brew come from the best British floor-malted, pale barley available. Top quality specialty malts that add to its opulent body include British Crystal and German Rye. Spanish cedar lends wood aging with a depth of dark mahogany and a hint of Szechuan peppercorn spice that cuts the luxurious malt sweetness.
