Beer Description

A modern red sour ale, with typical Finnic flavours of juniper and lingonberry. For a further Finnic twist the ale has been dry hopped with Pekko – Collab with Bone Machine Brew Co.

In 1187 the Viking age settlement of Sigtuna was raided by the Finnic pagans of the Karelian tribe. It is thought to be an act of revenge for the Catholic crusades.
In a less bloody raid, the Bone Machine sons of Karelia stormed the brewery of Brew York to create a modern red sour ale, with typical Finnic flavours of juniper and lingonberry. For a further Finnic twist the ale has been dry hopped with Pekko, so named after the Karelian protector of barley and brewing.
