Beer Description
Love it or hate it, Scotch Whisky is known worldwide for its rich, full flavor, often dominated by notes of smoke, peat, earth, and brine. Islay Whisky, in particular, tends to be a beastly version of that common ideal of Scotch. As you might have guessed from the very existence of this bottle, several of us here at Confluence fall on the love-it side of the equation. That love drove us to procure a handful of casks, previously used to age a world renowned 10 year Islay Whisky, and use them to indelibly etch the flavors of the Hebrides of Scotland on our beloved Camp Fire Black Lager. The resulting marriage of Scotch and beer a flavor-packed behemoth that we’re sure is a love-it or hate-it kind of experience. If you’re like us, and you enjoy a dram, then try a pint. Slainte!
