Beer Description
This scotch ale is aged in oak for a delicious smoky flavor. Richly malt with kettle caramelization. Hints of roasted malt and smoky flavor are present. Hop flavors and bitterness are medium-low, so malt impression dominates. Diacetyl is low to none, although caramelization may sometimes be mistaken for it. Low to moderate esters and alcohol are usually present. Esters may suggest plums, raisins or dried fruit. The palate is full and sweet, and the finish is medium-dry .
