Tasting Notes: Wild Berries – Fresh Toasted Oak – Mixed Berry Pie
We took our Farmhouse Vultures recipe and put a unique spin on it. We aged a portion with blackberries in a cabernet sauvignon barrel and the other portion in a chardonnay barrel with raspberries. The end result was a beautiful blend that ended up earning us a Gold Medal in this year’s Festival of Wood and Barrel Aged Beers.
