Confluence Double Dry Hopped Des Moines

Some people say you shouldn’t mess with a good thing… but those people probably don’t brew beer for a living. We tried a few small batch cask variations of our beloved Des Moines IPA and thought they were too good not to share! Keeping the same malt bill and kettle hops, we made our changes in the fermenter by using a different yeast strain and, in a major shift for this beer, we dry-hopped before fermentation was complete. Did we stop there? Of course not! We added a healthy second dry-hopping to the mix after fermentation. We removed some of the original varieties, but kept Centennial and Simcoe, while adding Citra to the mix. We hope you enjoy this fruitier, more mellow twist on an old favorite!
