Beer Description

A brilliant blonde-gold pour with a light, hoppy aroma. This smooth and crisp straw colored lager-like ale is unforgetable.

A brilliant blonde-gold pour with a light, hoppy aroma. This smooth and crisp straw colored lager-like ale is unforgetable.
Originally, a style unique to Cologne, Germany, this kölsch is a nod to Katharina (von Bora) Luther, known for brewing beers with straight-to-the-point character to match her own. She ably managed the household staff, the farm, and of course, the brewery of the Luther manor. One of the few people whom her famous husband considered an intellectual peer, Martin often said that his rather scandalous marriage to “Dear Kate,” a former nun, caused “the angels to laugh and the devils to weep.”
