Beer Description
We have made this cherry wine entirely from whole cherries. As with all Mission Trail Fermentation we are innovative and take the utmost care to honor the fruit. This Cherry Wine is no different. The nose is strong and intense with deep notes of dark berries, mild caramelized plum, rose and lilac show up strong to round out the bouquet. Unlike other cherry wines velveteen 500 has a character all of its own. At first glance you will notice the rich intense burgundy color. At first sip it takes you for a ride. It has so much fruit and flavor to which balances beautifully with the alcohol level. Tastes of blueberry, candied violet, tree ripened cherry, blackberry, blueberry and currants all with a lengthy lingering, velvet, fruit forward finish.
