Beer Description

The Ambassador is a low-alcohol ale brewed with Australian Galaxy hops and an experimental hop in development called HBC-342, and is based on a homebrew recipe by Smoke & Barrel bartender Erich Streckfuss. Streckfuss, Mad Fox Head Brewer Charlie Buettner and assistant brewers Brian Murphy and Brad Hulewicz then tweaked the recipe slightly. The result is a 4.5%, light-bodied, golden-hued IPA with big hop flavor and aroma. Exactly the kind of beer we’d like to make a session out of. “For our first collaboration beer, we knew we wanted to make something that was light and sessionable but packed with our favorite ingredient: hops,” said Smoke and Barrel Beer Director Jace Gonnerman. “Charlie’s Dingo IPA is one of our house favorites so we gravitated right away to the idea of trying to collaborate with Mad Fox. With a couple tweaks to Erich’s original recipe by the Mad Fox brew staff I think we achieved exactly what we were looking for.”
