Beer Description
We aged last year’s 4th annIVersary stout in Sazerac rye whiskey barrels for a year. The result is a rich, thick, smooth stout that we are proud to release on our 5th Anniversary as a solid representation of what’s happening in our oak program. Aromas of coffee, fig, and lots of vanillin oak. Flavors of dark fruit compote, chocolate, and custardy, creamy vanilla character from the barrel on the palate. Smooth, silky mouthfeel enhanced by low carbonation. Brewed with a complex mash bill including a variety of roasted barleys and caramel malts, with a base of English Pale. Fermented with English ale yeast.
