Barrel-Aged Vanilla Cherry Ale (formally known as Barrel-Aged Scotch Cherry Whoop Whoop)
This Scotch ale was inspired by the Faygo soda flavor “Rock & Rye” and was created for the Detroit Beer Experiment collaboration in the fall of 2018.
Barrel-Aged Vanilla Cherry Ale (formally known as Barrel-Aged Scotch Cherry Whoop Whoop)
This Scotch ale was inspired by the Faygo soda flavor “Rock & Rye” and was created for the Detroit Beer Experiment collaboration in the fall of 2018. Caramel flavors from British crystal and rye malts create a velvety smooth mouthfeel. These flavors are further accentuated by aging the beer on vanilla beans and dark cherries, followed by a year in bourbon barrels.
