Beer Description
Imperial Marshmallow Stout aged in an imported Portuguese Port wine barrels for 20 months taking on layers of deep red fruits, stewed blackberries, and dark chocolate. The fortification of the wine adds to already silky mouthfeel creating a delectable wine-kissed marshmallow couplet. Nuances of spiced orange marmalade, strawberry, Tempranillo, and white pepper. A lovely excursion from the typical American approach to barrel aging taking us to slower days of flat bottomed barges lumbering down the Douro river towards the wine caves of Vila Nova de Gaia and the sea.
