Beer Description

Farmhouse Abbey is a deep amber colored Belgian ale that quickly develops a large, off-white head of meringue-like foam when poured into a glass.

Its beauty lies its ability to showcase layers of specialty malt and spicy Belgian yeast complexities while maintaining harmony, balance, finesse, and a high degree of drinkability.

After primary fermentation this special brew was cold conditioned for weeks to round out all the edges and allow all the nuanced flavors and aromas to meld together. It was then bottled, corked, and caged with fresh yeast and priming sugar to undergo secondary fermentation right in the bottle, lending additional complexity and scavenging packaged oxygen in the process. The result drinks like a barley champagne — dry and effervescent with a crisp, flavorful finish.

We get notes of raisins, caramelized brown sugar, dates, toasted rye bread, biscuit, spicy clove, ripened bananas, and plum.
