Remember about 15 years ago when breweries regularly made robust Stouts, Barleywines, and a handful of other imperialized styles without crazy ingredients? Nowadays, they’ve gone the way of the buffalo and can hardly be found. Not ones to be fazed by passing trends, we’re proudly resurrecting that grand tradition with our new Way Back Series. In the coming months, prepare yourself for the arrival of a series of high-ABV beers in all of their unappreciated glory, each presented in the timeless elegance of a 500ml bottle.
Wrapt in a Warm Flannel is more Scottish than a headbutt on a rainy day; this lightly peated Scotch Ale uses a blend of malts from Scotland and England and a long boil to create a mildly smoky mass of malty complexity.
