An annual tradition in celebration The Virginia Beer Company’s anniversary, each March our brewers unveil a limited selection of barrel-aged Waypost variants.
Waypost (a marker to note one’s progress along the path forward) is an Imperial Milk Stout. Dark, rich, and creamy, the 2024 vintages of this recipe have been aged in Knob Creek Bourbon Whiskey Barrels.
To celebrate 8 years, we are proud to unveil two limited Bourbon Barrel-Aged Waypost offerings:
Salted Caramel Waypost [12.4%] This year’s most limited variant showcases Waypost Neat — with Sea Salt and over 10 lbs. of liquid Caramel added directly into the barrel during aging. A sip is almost literally like sampling a Salted Caramel (in the form of a boozy & beautiful barrel-aged beer).
