Beer Description
Steam Beer was originally brewed in Bavaria, Germany in the 1830s. It made its debut in the United States in the late 1800s in the San Francisco Bay area where it quickly became popular due to its unique character as a lager with ale qualities and was given its alternate name of California Common. NAUTILUS is inspired by the precise logarithmic spirals, otherwise known as the golden ratios, found in the nautilus shell. The ideal proportion of distinctive maltiness, notes of caramel, and robust American hop qualities provide a beautifully balanced flavor with a clean, dry, hoppy finish.
