Beer Description
Nelson was the name of George Washington’s favorite horse during the Revolutionary War. Oats were (and remain) the preferred feed for horses, so this is a tribute to the steed who was undaunted by cannon fire and was known as a great charger. The use of oats lends a soft, silky texture to this brew balancing out the rumble of chocolate malt and roasted barely, resulting in a smooth and easy-drinking stout.
