Beer Description

General Lafayette The Grim Reaper – also known as General Lafayette Imperial Stout.

This beer name is an alias of General Lafayette Imperial Stout.

No ratings are stored under this alias, as the brewer calls this beer
different names. This can be the result of a brewer distributing this beer
under different names in different countries, or the brewer simply changing the name, but not the recipe at different points in time.

From the historic Colonial Inn and Brewery on the site where General Lafayette made his Revolutionary War stand, comes this huge Imperial Stout aged to perfection. Regulars at the Inn know Chris loves to brew high-gravity beers. Malts: Pale, Vienna Amber, Dark and Light Crystal, Chocolate and Roasted Barley. Hops: UK Target, East Kent Goldings (bittering), East Kent Goldings (aroma) and East Kent Goldings and Fuggles(dry hops). Note that different names are used to describe the cask version (the Imperial Stout) and the draft version (Shutout Stout, Grim Reaper), even though they use the same recipe.
