Pours dark brown, almost black with ruby red highlights. The sweet aroma has slight hints of roasted malts, coffee and belgian yeast lingering in the nose. I find the taste much better than the aroma. Bitter-sweet chocolate malt character, dark fruits and sugar plums. Silky mouthfeel with a nice warming finish.

I thought it was a bit disappointing. It was a bit bitter without redeeming flavors.

Nice Stout, not heavy

This stout has the taste of a barrel-aged imperial without any discernable liquor. The scent is a repugnant burnt Orville Redenbacher popcorn bag. (Sorry, Orville.) I think if I were an expert I would be able to discern that this scent is related to some grain or plant. Anyway, since I'm not an expert, this stout wins me over with taste, but loses me with scent. It's nice but weak and twinge annoying. Update: I have a fair description for anyone else trying to decide on this stout. It's like a stout and a beer. I don't care for traditional beers. I love stouts.

What an amazing stout. Had to go up to MA to get it but it was worth it!

Opaque with a light hoppiness, roasted malt aroma. It had a light body to it, lightly sweet with a nice spicyness and lingering strong bitterness at the end. So light bodied stout + belgian yeast + lingering but smooth bitterness
