Captain Lawrence Nor-Easter (12.0 ABV)

Aged in freshly dumped bourbon barrels, this beer has a lot of the classic bourbon flavor and aroma. At 12% abv this one will age nicely. The malt comes through nicely a year later and the bourbon is mellowing out.

Draft at Good Beer. I can't believe they use elderberries in this stuff. You can't taste it. The aroma is slightly coffee. The initial sip starts with coffee and dark chocolate flavors, then brings some bitterness to the forefront. I think this would be very interesting to store for a year or more to see what else you taste. Trying this, you'd think the ABV is 7-8% at most, not 12%.
