EXCELLENT! This is a hoppy malt. It sizes up this way: Hop Stoopid is best of the double IPAs, next to Stone Self-Righteous... as best of the malty IPAs, and McNeil's Dark Angel as best of the hoppy stouts; but all together Hoppy Feet is best of the black ales with a bit too much carbonation and weak grapefruit body but good pine scent and excellent bitter chocolate finish. I think I need a taste-off with Yeti and others to settle on a choice. But it is shaping up that I like two ver different types of ale: Hop Stoopid representing the pine, grapefruit IPAs; and thick, bitter chocolate finishing stouts. Update: I have to try HP 1.5: "It is a big beer, clocking in at over 10% with 1.5 times the ingredients of the original."

Black pour with a creamy tan head. Aroma is all roasted malt, caramel and tones of pine and grapefruit. The nutty, dark chocolate palate is slightly sweet with a pleasing bitter finish. Nice balance, just the right amount of bitterness.
