This was my first 100 IBU. It was marvelous. The key to a great beer isn't its status as a stout or IPA, it's the IBUs. The description of the beers that I enjoy are the American Black Ales, i.e., hoppy stouts or malty IPAs. And it just so happens that these beers have high IBUs. The addition of lemon to this one was nice but not memorable. Instead those ABAs that have a grapefruit-pine flavor are best.

Super hoppy and bitter, the lemon adds just the right tinge of flavor. This beer is amazing and if you ever have the fortune of finding it give yourself a cheers and raise a glass. Or two. Or five.

Very smooth for 100 IBU. Has a little bite as it warms. Lemon is faint in aftertaste.
