One of the few beers that I must refer to as 'dangerously drinkable.'

Recommended by the best NYC specialty beer proprietor, I really wanted to like this. Unfortunately this was just not as hoppy, with a scent of pine, body of grapefruit and finish of bitter malt as others seem to perceive. Perhaps I'm jaded by bigger hoppy ales like Hop Stoopid, but this was a high ABV hoppy ale that I would appreciate in the absence of any other better choice but not a choice among a well stocked bar.

Top of the class double IPA, my #1.

Delicious Double IPA. One of the best. Lots of hops, but well balanced. Higher in alcohol, but it does not have the burn of some beers with same ABV. If you like hops, you will love this beer.

A nice hoppy Double IPA

draft @ Good beer. Golden amber in color with a strong hoppy aroma. Taste was highly hoppy upfront, kind of an earthy, piney, citrus hop mix with a lingering strong bitterness. ABV was well hidden though. I thought it was 7-8%. I'd call it a sharp, hop forward, double ipa.

Amazing, citrusy hop base with a strong, honey-like malt base to balance it out. An excellent beer.

Amazing, well balanced with hoppy kick.

A little too fruity for my tastes. Tasted strongly of the grapefruit and I didn't like the smell.

Nice floral nose, up-front hops, but less bitter that other double IPAs. VERY nice.
