This beer is incredible. The sweetness of pumpkin hits you first but then yields to a delicious bittersweet coffee stout that is smooth as silk. Barely carbonated, but with some amount of aftertaste. The pumpkin adds nuance to this stout. Quite excellent.

This novelty is a typically overly carbonated, unremarkable stout with the addition of a scent of pumpkin spice. On perhaps Thanksgiving it might be fun to have this with pumpkin stuffing, pumpkin pie or even along side egg nog. But a pumpkin lover is not likely to conclude that the search is over for a full bodied, creamy pumpkin stout. NB: The bottle I purchased bears a pumpkin colored sailor, not black. Furthermore, there are a few stouts with similar names listed on this site, so perhaps my bottle was a different edition (but there's no way to tell from the dateless label).
