Chocarrubica is a top-fermenting oatmeal stout creation of deep black color. The adding of Venezuelan cocoa beans, carrubs from the island of Sicily , and large amount of oats {over 30%} gives this unusual Italian creation its silky, chocolatey, and roasty character.

This beer pairs well with chocolate desserts, but also with seasoned cheese.

Bought this fancy bottle of dark beer and another brand from Mario Batali's Eataly thinking everything would be gourmet. Seriously, both bottles were horrible. Lesson learned: don't buy from Mario Batali thinking it comes with any promise of quality. This beer is everything I learned it would be at other websites: no chocolate tones, just an awkward plasticky tasting carbonated drink. AVOID this beer and Mario Batali's Eataly.
