Pours a semi-tranlucent amber with a 2 finger head. The star of the aroma is the caramel malts, accompanied by pine and spices. There's a strong malty presence in the taste, a bit piney and citrusy. Moderately bitter and very refreshing.

I had this side by side with the Firestone Walker Union Jack IPA and I thought they tasted pretty similar with the Rumble having a sweeter finish.

the label says subtle bourbon barrel flavor. as someone who is not big into bourbon barrel aging, it was too much. the Dogfish Head Burton Baton is a good barrel aged IPA to try if this style appeals to you.
