Syrupy. No head. Very strong alcohol content. Not my favorite. But strong enough to drink with foods that require a stout to hold its own on the palate (rather than mix disagreeably).

This beer is in my top 5 beers of all time. Hot, but not too hot. Excellent mouth feel, with perfect viscosity for an oatmeal stout. The non-barrel aged BORIS is outstanding, but with hints of vanilla from the barrel aging, this beer is elite. Too bad it doesn't get distributed on the West Coast - I have to seek it out every time I go to the Midwest and East Coast.
