Subtle yet familiar flavors of vanilla and oak are imparted to this special ale as it rests in the charred barrels. Pleasantly smooth and robust, Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale may also be served as an aperitif or after dinner drink.

English Strong Ale / Smells of bourbon and tastes of oak and bourbon. But, it's not overpowering. I expected this to be a little bit sweeter and more dessert like after reading other review on here. For a high abv beer it goes down very easily and then the alcohol hits you later. Not bad but I would like to try this on tap the next time.
