The aim with St Joseph’s is to achieve balance between phenolic and ester flavours whilst minimising the strong alcohol flavour associated with a 10% alcohol by volume tripel. St. Joseph’s is a true Abbey style Tripel with strong clove and spice flavours apparent with a noticeable fruit ester profile. Smokey phenolic characters can be detected. The bitterness is designed to be complimentary rather than dominant This complex beer has no herbs or spices added and is best served at approximately 8úC in a tulip glass.
