This was a good hoppy stout or malty IPA recommended by the proprietor of City Swiggers. It was a good recommendation. This is a good black ale with the scent of thistle and the slight hint of coffee instead of chocolate under the hoppy ale. Other black ales have more bitter finish or more grapefruit body, but this is a delicious ale in the winner's circle.
