This stout was as described by someone else here, except for me there was no anise or chocolate. It left me with an impression of molasses and vinegar but just minor hints.

Pours pitch black with a thick foamy khaki head. The sweetness of the malts dominate the aroma with molasses and chocolate, and a hint of smoke. The flavor is nicely balanced with bitter chocolate, licorice and smokey tobacco. I'm really enjoying this one.
