Pours a sexy clear mahogany with one finger of a beige head. The intensely sweet aroma is loaded with roasted malts and dark fruits, maybe raisins and prunes. Also picking up some toffee and caramel. The taste is sweet, but not cloyingly so. Black cherries followed by some toffee and finishing off like a nice sherry. Very tasty beer. Happy to have this in the States now.
