chocolaty stout, not as smooth as most oatmeals are. This has a bite to it, and is quite bitter. not that I mind that usually, but I guess it's not what I'm in the mood for right now. This is a straight, no nonsense stout. Aftertaste is killing me tho.

This was a great contender to Guinness. More bitter and thicker. No downside. $14 for 22oz. Fair deal. Update: While I was impressed by my first stout to rival Guinness, this review has to be updated to affirm that this is no longer in my top choices. It is eclipsed by Mephistophiles, Dark Angel and others. This beer has all the right ingredients but weaker than McNeill's Dark Angel.
