Sprecher Dopple Bock (7.85) ABV

This strong, dark lager was originally brewed as a liquid bread to sustain Bavarian monks while fasting. Its complex malt character comes from brewing with many varieties of dark roasted caramel malt and long periods of cold storage.

Pours a muddy deep brown with a small off-white head. Sweet caramel aroma with big notes of dark fruits, sour cherries. Sort of tastes like chocolate covered sour cherries dipped in soy sauce, in a good way. Nice complex flavors.
