Winey, rich, deceptively not sweet, long finish, graet acidity

Update: Had as part of a flight. This time it wasn't flat. I didn't taste the cherries but it was so much better with a light sweetness and alcohol (11% abv). Would have again for sure.

Belgian Dark Strong Ale / Sadly this bottle was a bit flat BUT What I could taste was the sweetness of cherries and balanced with enough hops so that it's not sickly sweet. I bet if the bottle were in perfect condition it would be a solid beer.

Okay for a fruity beer, fruit and honey not overdone but not that much flavor (seemed a bit tame on the malt and hops), hint of cinnamon which is always nice in a winter beer, better than Sam Cherry Wheat (not saying much but still). A decent choice for a wintry offering, craft gateway beer or a non beer-drinkers beer. 6.75.
