Pours as black and as thick as oil with a one finger dark tan head. The oak smokiness from the bourbon barrels really shine though. The aroma is bourbon, burnt toast, anise and roasted malts. The front of the mouth is sweet and malt driven, while the back finishes off dry, smokey and ashy. A nice job barrel aging their Storm King Stout.
