Weyerbacher Bootes

Bootes is the 5th Installment in the Northern Hemisphere Constellation Brewers’ Select Series! Bootes is a ruby brown American Strong Ale weighing in at 9% ABV. Bootes was brewed using pale, wheat, biscuit, crystal and roasted malts for a strong malt character. Bootes was mash-hopped with Simcoe for increased bitterness and was aroma hopped with Bravo and Centennial. Bootes is in the 100 IBU range—one of the highest bitterness measurements we’ve done here at Weyerbacher—and yet it isn’t an IPA! Think barleywine with some hop character. As with all of our Brewers’ Select beers, Bootes is an extremely limited production. Bootes will be available on draft at select restaurants and bars throughout our distribution area. 12 oz bottles and filled-from-the-tap fresh growlers will be available exclusively at Weyerbacher’s Visitors Center starting Thursday, December 19th, 2013.
