As an added bonus we will be tapping Southern Tier Choklat Stout, an Imperial Stout that tastes like drinking a chocolate malt with booze (11% abv). There is a God and he works at Southern Tier.

On Tuesday, February 14th, we'll be offering some nice treats to make your Valentine's day special. First off, we'll be featuring BOULEVARD CHOCOLATE ALE. In developing this beer, Elbow and Boulevard brewmaster Steven Pauwels sought to harmonize the interplay of chocolate and malt, with each supporting and enhancing, but not overwhelming, the other. Just the right chocolate was essential. Elbow recommended a rare variety from the Dominican Republic, prized for its robust flavor and aroma, and a personal favorite. More than a mere flavoring, the chocolate — in the form of nibs, or crushed, roasted beans – was incorporated into the brewing process itself. And for dessert, we're featuring a homemade CHOCOLATE CHEESECAKE. This mini-cheesecake will feature an Oreo cookie crust, chocolate fill, and topped with fresh strawberries and a chocolate ganache. Of course, if your wanted both, we're offering our VALENTINE'S DAY COMBO. You'll get two 8oz pours of the Boulevard Chocolate Ale and one mini-cheesecake, all for just $12. Not a bad way to top off your romantic evening.

On February 15th, Speakeasy Ales & Lagers, Shmaltz Brewing Company and Ninkasi Brewing Company unite to turn the historic Elks Lodge of San Francisco into a merry carnival of craft brew, fine food, and circus performance. Ringleader and "Home Brew Chef," Sean Z. Paxton pairs 12 beers – many rare and unusual – along with a whimsical, circus-inspired 9-course menu to accompany the show. The three breweries and Mr. Paxton also collaborated to brew the Three Ring Circus Ale, an anything-but-traditional nut brown ale brewed with dulce de leche, popped corn and peanuts that pays homage to the spirit of the circus. The beer was brewed at Speakeasy in San Francisco and will make its debut at the dinner. With circus sideshow performers contorting their way through the evening, and the exclusive debut of the collaboration beer, the bizarre and intriguing Three Ring Circus is a can’t-miss event to add to your Beer Week itinerary. Reserved tickets are $120 (including all fees and gratuity).
