About this Event

If a smashing Tuesday Night Tasting was not enough, we decided to go even further with our featuring of Newburgh Brewing Company this month with a full-on tap takeover. This Thursday, we’ll have nearly every beer that this new and very excellent local brewery has produced—along with two specially-prepared cask ales—in their largest draft event since their founding.

Newburgh Brewing Company of Newburgh, NY was established two years ago by lifelong friends Christopher Basso and Paul Halayko, the former a veteran brewer at Brooklyn Brewery, and the latter an ex-CPA with a strong interest in craft beer. Basso specializes in well-crafted, simple and sessionable ales with something of an English twist, and adventurous, experimental recipes that actually succeed in being delicious.

Our draft list will include

Cream Ale
Brown Ale
Saison
Peat Smoked Stout
NewBurton IPA
Paper Box Pale Ale
The Newburgh Conspiracy (Russian Imperial Stout)
Unkle Dunkel
Chile-Lime Stout
Old Tjikko (Baltic Spruce Porter)
C.A.F.E. Sour (sour ale with Ethiopian Yirgacheffe coffee, whole grain teff and gesho leaves)
Von Steuben’s Gose
Sterk Aal van Hoodie (Belgian Strong Ale)
HoneyWeizen

along with these two offerings on cask—

Paper Box Pale Ale (dry-hopped with Sorachi Ace)
and RiverBrew: Crown Maple Irish Red.

Be sure not to miss this special event!
