Join us next Thursday as we welcome our good friend Spike Buckowski, Co-Founder & Brewmaster of Terrapin Beer Company, to ChurchKey for what promises to be a rollicking evening of delicious craft ales on tap. Spike is in DC brewing a collaboration brew with our team at Bluejacket (rumor has it that they’re concocting a Brettanomyces-laced and peach-infused India Pale Ale), so we decided to line up 14 distinct Terrapin drafts, as well as 5 unique cask ales, for the occasion.
Of the 19 Terrapin brews, we were able to nab two fro their Side Project series: Moonray Dunkles Weizenbock as well as Guano Loco Chili Pepper Brownie Ale. We’ll also have Terrapin’s recent collaboration with Green Flash, called Tangerine Dreamsicle, an IPA brewed with lactose and tangerine peel. Finally, a few very special barrel-aged treats have been sent our way from Spike: Wine Barrel-Aged Monk’s Revenge (Aged in Shelton Vineyards Cabernet Barrels) and Bourbon Barrel-Aged Wake-n-Bake (Aged in Woodford Reserve Barrels).
In addition to the 14 drafts available this evening, ChurchKey is also turning over all 5 of its cask engines to Terrapin, and they have certainly delivered. We’ll have the rarely-seen Capt’n Krunkles Black IPA and Liquid Bliss Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter flowing from our cask lines, as well as year-round favorites Hopsecutioner IPA, RecreationAle & Rye Pale Ale, each receiving a different spin in cask.
There is no admission for this event and all Terrapin Drafts & Casks will be priced individually by the glass and in 4 oz. pours.
