The Norwood Park Historical Society’s Stems and SteinsTM annual wine- and beer-tasting fund-raiser will take place on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, 4 to 7 p.m., at 5624 N. Newark Ave., Chicago. Guests may make reservations at www.norwoodparkhistoricalsociety.org.
Reservations are $50 to taste 50 wines or $50 to taste 50 beers through Aug. 31; prices rise to $60 for either tasting option starting Sept. 1. Reservations are $70 for Premier Tastings, which includes all wines and beers and an extra 60 minutes of tasting beginning at 3 p.m. Stems and SteinsTM is held every year at the Noble-Seymour-Crippen House, the oldest house in Chicago.
Chicago’s Foremost Liquor Center will provide tastes of wine or beer, including wines from around the world and an assortment of craft and international beers.
