It’s Halloween, and what better way to excite your taste buds than with some funky Spanish cider?
Our friends from Rowan Imports will be serving cider from their specially-made cask. $30 gets you in the door, and drinking all the sidra you can get into your glass.
If you’re unfamiliar with sidra, it is some wonderful stuff fermented naturally with native yeasts and bottled without any filtration. It is pungent, rustic, and challenging to your taste buds in all the best ways.
It is also typically poured from high, a method known as escanciar. Try your hand at it and you might get a little damp in the process, but this is the best way to release the esters and aromas of sidra.
