Sunday Supper with the Nanos and Nomads

In celebration of NYC Craft Beer Week, Civilization of Beer and The Good Beer Seal present an evening of local food and excellent beers from local nano and nomad breweries.

The thinking behind this event was that there are tiny breweries that should get some exposure during this very big craft beer week. Nano breweries are as small as a commercial brewery can get, and are a subset of microbreweries. These brewers often produce less than 20 barrels of beer a year. The nomads travel around and brew at friendly host breweries. The brewers that we are happy to sup with are Blind Bat Brewery, Barrier Brewing Company, Pretty Things Beer and Ale Project, and Greenport Brewing.

The food will be prepared using fresh ingredients from Brooklyn Grange, a rooftop farm located at the border of Queens and Brooklyn. The farmer, Ben Flanner will be on hand at the event as well! A portion of proceeds from this dinner will benefit Brooklyn Grange.
