Fairfield County should be added as its an extension of NYC. If Westchester and Garden City, NJ are covered, Fairfield County should be included seeing as many NYC professionals commute to and from Fairfield Cty.

There are plenty of bars and restaurants serving tons of craft and imported brews and some menus are dedicated specifically to beer.

That sounds like a fair argument, we are compiling a list of places in CT. Do you have any favorites?

I will second this post! I’m looking for places to get rare brews but there aren’t and good sites yet for the Fairfield County area!! Please Help!

I’ll give you one tip for starting. “GingerMan” in Norwalk, CT has a great selection of beers plus offers a monthly Dinner with Beer Pairings!

The great thing about this site is that fans of bars can put the menus of their favorite bars on the site themselves.

I believe we need one for the whole of CT, not just Fairfield County. The number of quality establishments in CT is small, yet it is the continued lack of information and community in the CT beer scene that makes these few places so important.

I could see Fairfield County added to both CT and NY, with further additions for the New Haven and Hartford metro areas.

Will,
I have a few places to suggest:
The Ginger Man in SoNo has already been suggested, but it bear mentioning that there are two in Ffld. Co., and the other is in Greenwich.

In between the two, Monster B’s in Glenbrook (Stamford) has the best selection out of anywhere I’ve seen in the county. There are about 30 taps and something like 250 different bottles.

Outside of Ffld. Co.:
- Prime 16 in New Haven doesn’t have as large a selection, but the make up for it in quality of beers, and the knowledge of the staff. Superior food, too.
- The Speckled Hen Pub in Norfolk, Litchfield Co., has a huge selection of mostly bottles, and a great English pub feel.

Yes FFLD county should be represented.

Also Tomato and Basil if Fairfield CT has 6 taps and only craft on tap and a good but small bottle selection. Between Norwalk and New Haven its tops.

Also Coalhouse Pizza in Stamford, good beer selection (their service needs to be matched with it though)
