There is no question that Washington loves to drink. Having moved from NYC to DC, I can tell you that this city plays hard even compared to a metropolis like New York.

There are quite a few well known and well attended brew-based establishments, however, there are many interesting bars and pubs that tend to go unnoticed and only frequented by patrons “in the know” and in the neighborhood. But this doesn’t have to be the case.

With thousands of Federal employees, armies of lawyers, and a phalanx of young college and post college residents, few cities could benefit from this service like the underserved masses of the nations capitol city.

I would like to second the request for adding our Nation’s Capital. There are numerous folks with educated beer palates and discerning minds who would love to see this data for our city.

I live near Chicago, and have a great beer restaurant near me (Bavarian Lodge in Lisle, IL). My brother, 10x the beer person I am, lives in DC and needs to try what I drank last night (Anderson Valley Imperial Boont Amber).

Where do I send him? The brewery won’t ship it out of California.

I love Chicago, but my hometown DC is hopping with craft brew in bars everywhere these days and creative healthy food to boot. Please add DC!

I can’t believe that DC isn’t on this website yet. Please bring DC to Beermenus.

Some bars do great with keeping their lists up to date (Rustico, Paradiso). Others…not so much. This would be incredibly clutch.

I’d like to add firstly that covering nearby NoVA and MD would be amazing. e.g., Fire Works in Arlington is probably just as close to ChurchKey as H St., but it’s likely even more accessible because of the metro stop.

This may be of interest for DC: https://twitter.com/#!/dctapfinder
