Pours a dark brown, verging on black with an impressive foamy khaki head. The aroma definitely has smoke in it, but it’s not overpowering. Nice balance of roasted malts, sweet chocolate, and a touch of coffee and hops. The roasted malts and meaty smoke are right up front in the taste. Finishes off sweet and chocolatey. Getting some alcohol burn at the end. Everything compliments each other nicely. Fantastic!!!
Pours a very dark amber with light coming through at the bottom of the glass, topped off by a large fluffy off-white head. Huge hoppy aroma, grapefruit and pine dominating with a bit of brown sugar and spiciness in the background. A bitter pine hop taste attacks your palate immediately, followed by strong notes of pineapple, roasted malts, caramel and finishing off rather dry and bitter. This is delicious stuff!
